The Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO), part of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, is offering study trips to The Hague and has launched a call-for-applications to withstanding Egyptian female entrepreneurs with a minimum of five years of experience in the ecosystem.
The study visit concerns a three-day programme in either the first week or the second week of June, which will overlap with the week of the Global Entrepreneurship Summit in The Hague. The trip will include a story telling workshop, a Social Media training, meetings with policy officers.
The aim of the study trip is to strengthen the role-model position of female entrepreneurs from the MENA region by providing training, coaching, exchanging experiences from the different MENA countries.
On the other hand, the purpose of this study trip is to also inform the RVO and Ministry of Foreign Affairs colleagues focusing on private sector development and entrepreneurship in the MENA region, on the obstacles, needs, and opportunities women entrepreneurs face, in order to enable them to help improve the business climate for women in an effective way.
You need to have a minimum of five-year successful business experience, a drive to firmly support the participation of women from your community on the labour market, and knowledge and experience regarding the functioning of the ecosystem for female entrepreneurs in your country.
You also must be motivated to develop your talent, to share knowledge and experiences – that entails talking about your “failures” and challenges. You must also be aspiring to have a strong social media presence concerning matters on entrepreneurship and women economic empowerment.
The workshop will be given in English, so you are expected to have good writing, reading, and speaking skills. You will also be expected to prepare assignments for the incoming visit and the follow-up event in the country of origin.
